Theodorus Cornelius Van Wyck (following Dutch naming patterns, the first name of his father becomes his middle name, same with his wife) was born 17 September 1668 at Midwout, New Amsterdam and died 4 December 1753 at Great Neck, Queens, County, New York. He is buried in the Thorne Ground at Great Neck, as is his father. He married Margrietje Abramse Brinckerhoff on 29 April 1693, daughter of Abraham Joris Brinckerhoff and Aeltie Strycker, born 3 February 1674/75 at Flushing, Queens, New York and died 27 August 1741 at Great Neck, Queens, New York. "He took the oath of allegiance in 1687 as a native 27 years old. He was one of the earliest settlers of Fishkill in about 1715, as per Smith's History of Dutchess Co. He and his son Theodorus Van Wyck Jr. and his son Cornelius Van Wyck of Rombout Precinct and Abraham Van Wyck of the city of New York were among the original purchasers of the site of the city of Fishkill, Dutchess county, N. Y., August 6, 1743. There was an Anthony Vander Wyck who had a da. Jannetje bpt.
