Mattheus Carman
 

Information on this line primarily comes from the manuscript "Yeoman's Service", Being an account of the first Carman's from Kehl, Germany to come to America, their sojourn in Pennsylvania and New York, and their activities as Loyalist pioneers in Canada (1708-1840)", by William B. Carman, Laguna Niguel, California, September 1981 (privately published).  However there have been several kind folks who descend from this line who have added much to it, such as Judith Hughes, who has her own site "Dr. Bodo Otto Association" homepage, and Marie Dixon who is a descendant of the line - but before you run off to see them, if you find an error here, let me know please.

This family line begins with Mattheus Kirman, who died in 1699. His son, also Mattheus Kirman, was born about 1688 in Kehl, Baden, Germany. He married Anna Maria Geyler was born at the same town as her husband.  They had three children:

George Kirman - Appears on the ships register of the 'Anderson' arriving Philadelphia 25 August 1751 with his brothers and father, but record of him after that.
