Margaret⁶ Carman (Adam⁵, Benjamin⁴, Caleb³, John², John¹) was born 1749 in Oyster Bay, Queens County, New York and died in 1838. She married first, Thomas Wood with no issue.  She married second Benjamin J. Garrett, who died in Prince Edward County in 1868. He was the son of Hugh Garret and brother of Isaac Garret who married his wife's sisters, Mary Carman first and Sarah Carman second.
