Lyle Harvey Carman, Corporal, I Company, 3rd Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, 24th Division, U. S. Army, captured 12 July 1950, died while Prisoner of War, 7 December 1950, Hanjang-Ni, North Korea. Royal Gene Carman, Corporal, U. S. Army, killed in action, 2 September 1950 both men above served from Iowa
Horace Robert Carman was a B-17 Pilot in World War II, and a Jet Fighter Pilot during the Korean War. Horace was taken Prisoner of War after his plane was forced down in Korea. He survived and was repatriated.
