This hand-written invitation to a Carman
Association meeting is from the family artifacts of John Carman of Merrick, New
York. His great-great grandfather,
Joseph Carman, was one of the many family
members that conversed with and prepared family group sheets for the
Association.

A meeting of the
association was held at the rooms of the Exchange Fire Insurance Company
No. 172 Broadway New York on the 29th day of April 1880. After attending
to the business in the interest of the association, the meeting adjourned
to meet at Hewlett's Hotel, Hempstead, Long Island, on the 12th day of
August next. at 11 o'clock am for business purposes only. |
