Horace Robert¹⁰ Carman (Phillip⁹, Joseph⁸, Joseph⁷, Jehiel⁶, Elijah⁵, William⁴, John³, Caleb², John¹) was born 10 October 1921 in Tulsa, Tulsa County, Oklahoma; died 28 June 2001; and is interred at the Floral Haven Cemetery, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.  He married 1 February 1942 in Tulsa, Tulsa County, Oklahoma to Nancy Mae Cunningham.

Horace served in World War II as a B-17 and P-38 pilot and a jet fighter pilot in the Korean War. His jet forced down, he was taken Prisoner of War and later released and remained in the Air Corps until retired.  He served as Commander of the Korean POW organization, past President of the Lion's Club and member of the Presbyterian Church.
