George¹¹ Gay Carman (Charles¹⁰, John⁹, Peter⁸, Aaron⁷, Peter⁶, Gabriel^5, Joseph^4, Joshua^3, John^2, John¹)  was born 11 June 1902 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois; died in April of 1976 in Stewart, Richmond County, Virginia.  He married Elizabeth Dykema.

Public education in Chicago and at Carmangay, Alberta (a town his father founded). He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan n 1924.

Today the "George Gay Carman Trust" is still operating at the  Virginia Institute for Psychiatric and Behavioral Genetics.
